Biography
Oriol Esteve, born in Barcelona in 1972, is a prominent Spanish origami designer and author known for his accessible and intuitive approach to model creation. A member of OAS (Origami Always Succeed) — a creative group he co-founded — and the AEP (Asociación Española de Papiroflexia), he began designing original origami models in 2014 after years of folding, particularly inspired by traditional techniques.

Esteve has challenged conventional views in the origami community by encouraging creators to start designing early, without needing elite technical folding proficiency first, emphasizing intuition, flow, and experimentation over rigid mastery.
Esteve has been a sought-after special guest and instructor at international origami conventions, including OrigaMIT (2018), JOAS Kyushu branch (2022), Tokyo Tanteidan (2023), and events in Israel, Bogotá, Portland, Lyon, Sevilla, Rimini, México, Germany, and Poland. His work, often shared through diagrams, workshops, and social media, inspires folders worldwide to embrace personal creativity in origami.
